February Parent Club Meeting Minutes

February 12, 2013

Englewood Parent Club Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. in the Englewood Library.

Treasurer: Trish Campbell
Secretary: Mary Hanson
Co-Volunteer Coordinators: Connie Dewey and Lora Dougherty

Introductions were made around the room.

Fundraising Ideas                                                  By: Kim Kady
- Englewood Night at Keizer Carl’s Jr. on River Road. Put on by Englewood Parent-Club, staff, and students (3rd to 5th). Earn 25% of profits, up to 40% if double normal daily profits.
- Discussed Coupon Booklet – order 100 booklets to sell at family fun night., for $1.00 each, sell for $5.00 earn per booklet, make $400.
- Shawn will follow-up with manager

Current Business
Family Fun Night
- Lora ordered supplies for the store from Oriental Trading Company.
- Trish is going to rent the cotton candy machine.
- Flower pots were given to the teachers to have students decorate for the silent auction.

- Parent Club Corner in Library

Pizza Donation for FFN set-up on Thursday
- Shawn will call Figaro’s and other pizza businesses.


Teacher Appreciation Week
- May 6th to 10th

New Business
Art Fund
- Kiln
o Principal Katy Naff and the District looking a possible space to place the kiln.
o Looking into contractors bids
o Need regulation venting
o $2000.00 Art Fund could be approved to be affixed to next years fund to pay for costs.
- Map in Breeze-way or Mural in Gym
o Repaint
