Englewood PTC Word Cloud

Family+Friends+Food+Fundraising = An Inspirational Event

Thank you everyone who joined us last night for dinner at Boon's Treasury last night. Englewood really packed the building and due the generous hefty 50% of the sales we raised a total of $1,215.50! Amazing! The collaboration between a local business and our school really brought the community together and it raised money to enrich our students learning.

Thank You for Support of Englewood Elementary School!

If you ever feel like some great food and drinks in a fun friendly environment, Boon's Treasury is a great place to take your family and friends. And the next time you eat at Mcmenamins Boon's Treasury, take a moment to let the staff know how much we appreciate their generosity.

Please contact the Parent Teacher Club volunteeratenglewood@gmail.com, with any questions you might have or for some information on volunteering some of your time.

The students of Englewood love the excitement, smells, and especially the tastes that Popcorn Day has to offer! The Jog-a-thon was a Major Success!

The entire student body of Englewood Elementary participated in the Jog-a-thon fundraiser held this past Friday, on Oct. 18, the biggest fundraiser of the year for Parent Teacher Club. Students raise money for the Jog-a-thon by collecting “sponsors” prior to the event for each lap ran or for a flat donation.
A stampede, of sorts, began in the morning hours when the signal was given and running students careened around the respective track to the beat of music played over loud speakers, in the name of raising money.
Students ran for approximately 20 minutes, and several teachers participated in the running as well. Various incentives, such as the joining the Principal for lunch at Chuck E. Cheese, Classroom parties, and medals to students who are top fundraisers and lap runners, brought excitement to the Englewood event. The final totals are not in, but so far the count is that Englewood students brought in over $11,000.
By meeting fundraising goals, the PTCs can fill their coffers in order to pay for special activities and trips for students, and classroom needs, as well as to contribute money toward things that aren’t covered in school budgets. Some of their PTC supported programs include field trips, classroom curriculum and supplies support, technology support, art support, and more.
4 hours later, an exhausted but satisfied mass of students completed the Jog-a-thon in abundant school spirit!  Thanks to the entire group of volunteers, donors, sponsors, and Jog-a-thon Chairwoman Michelle Russell for an amazing Jog-a-thon!
