Parent and Student volunteers who assist with our school staff are greatly appreciated. If you would like to volunteer, there are many areas where you are needed. Some jobs are weekly, while other jobs are for a single day. Volunteering in school can be very rewarding and is a great asset to T.E.A.M. Englewood!
Volunteers and community partners play an important role in Salem-Keizer Public Schools. Each day in every school, volunteers support and encourage staff and students, take an active role in helping every student achieve. Through their contributions of time, energy, inspiration and expertise, volunteers often report they receive more than they give.
The Salem-Keizer School District requires ALL volunteers who work with children in our public schools to complete a criminal history background form. If you have not completed a background form or it has expired (adult background checks are good for 5 years), please request a form from the school office. All background information is kept confidential.
Anyone may apply to become a volunteer. Before taking part in a volunteer activity, applicants must complete a criminal history check.

Student Volunteers:
Students under the age of 18 who wish to volunteer at Englewood must have a Student Volunteer Criminal History Check Statement on file with the school district. Once these forms are approved and the student is listed in the district system, they are able to volunteer anywhere in the district for one year. These forms cannot be submitted electronically; they must be printed, filled out and mailed to the office on the forms or turned into the Englewood office or at any school office in the district.
